I got to meet a very special little boy last week, Jameson. He is sweet, cuddly, and absolutely adorable! But he is also very special because he is blessed with a very awesome Mom.
Jameson’s Mom, Jenna, is a hero in our family, one of our favorite people. Jenna oversees Logan’s GI care at Seattle Children’s Hospital. We weren’t originally supposed to have an appointment with her, but she had a last minute cancellation and we came in for an earlier appointment. I told her Logan’s history of throwing up and how his Doctor had brushed me off and said it was nothing. That I had finally insisted on having a referral to Children’s so someone there could tell me it was normal and no big deal. I still remember her looking me right in the eyes and telling me that it wasn’t normal and I had done the right thing to seek another opinion. Now it has been over 2 years since that day and we only grow to like her more and more. We actually look forward to our visits with her. We trust, respect and love her.
It was so wonderful to see Jenna in her new role as a Mom. I already knew she was going to be an outstanding Mom, but it was wonderful to see it in person. A new Mother’s love is something that you can’t really explain. Once you have felt it you know it, once you have seen it you will always remember it.
