Summer has gotten the better of my blogging. Without a school schedule for everyone it has been very easy for me to follow behind. But sweet little Ruby was too cute to let slip through the summer craziness.
Ruby was a little older than the normal newborn session that I do. In her Mom’s first email to me she said that she kept putting it off and here they were at 10 weeks old. It is so true, those first few weeks just FLY by! So learn from her lesson, book your newborn session while you are still pregnant! The first few weeks with a newborn are hectic and if you don’t already have a plan the time will easily slip away.
Since Ruby was older I knew she wouldn’t be quite as receptive to swaddling as a newborn. Things were a little harder because she wasn’t as accepting of my poking and moving her as as she slept. What I didn’t expect was the sweet smiles that would come from an older baby. She has an absolutely charming personality when she is happy, but when she is upset watch out! I’d probably get angry too if I was trying to nap and someone kept messing with me.
I may have nibbled on those cheeks a time or 2!
Black and white or color? She is stunning in both!
One of the great parts about doing Ruby’s session a little later is being able to recreate this picture. There is a picture of Ruby’s Dad in this chair with 2 bears when he was 10 weeks old! The bear on the left is the original bear!
And let’s talk about how much of a Daddy’s girls she is. Look at that smile for Daddy!
