I am excited to announce a new series here on the blog. I will be highlighting fun things to due around Seattle, especially things that are great to do with little ones! It is going to be so much fun to share some of my favorite places with you.
I am starting off with one of my boys and I’s all time favorite places, The Museum of Flight!
The Museum of Flight is a true gem of Seattle Museums, and for my boys it is the ultimate playground. Home to thousands of aircraft’s, space vehicles and artifacts the Museum of flight is an incredible interactive experience. It is a beautiful large, open space with lots of indoor activities. The Museum of Flight is mostly indoors, which is amazing during rainy Seattle days. Also, parking is free and plentiful, another big bonus.
On the day that the boys and I ventured to The Museum of Flight we visited the WWII section, main gallery and the kids space. The places we visited are just a fraction of the museum and we spent about 4 hours there that day. We were there a little longer than expected so we stopped in at the cafe for lunch and the gift shop before we headed home.
We have been to the museum at least 50 times over the years and it has never gotten old. The boys are already planning their next trip!
Real fighter planes you can sit in? It’s a little boys dream come true!
When we boys see the Flight Zone they cant help but break out into a run.
There are so many great things to play with in the Flight Zone- 2 planes to fly, a hot air balloon, helicopter, hang glider and lots of interactive games.
We also made a trip up to the air traffic control tower. Another great place for little boys to pretend that they are doing exciting things.
Hey Mom, we are standing under a Blackbird!
There is really so much to do at The Museum of Flight, our visit just scratched the surface!
Thanks for the great time, we can’t wait until next time.
