One of the trickiest parts about have Dan and the boys in school is that they do not have the same Spring Breaks. The University of Washington’s break is about 3 weeks before the Seattle School Districts. Last year during Dan’s spring break we took Eli out of preschool and went to California. This year was a bit more complicated because Eli is in Kindergarten and I am very pregnant! Sadly Disneyland wasn’t happening this year but we still felt like we needed a night away.
We decided on a location close by that included a ferry ride, eating dinner at a restaurant and spending the night at a hotel with a swimming pool. Really it doesn’t take much to impress 2 little boys. It wasn’t exactly the same as out California vacation, but we still had a great time being together!
We never get tired of the fun of riding the ferry!

Why is TV at a hotel so much more exciting that TV at home?
We had a great time at the pool. We went Friday night and Saturday morning. During our morning swim we had the pool to ourselves, it was wonderful.
Logan is such a daredevil. He didn’t have a second thought about jumping into the big pool all by himself and going for a swim.
The big pool was a little chilly for Eli, but he was a huge fan of the hot tub.
This was right outside our hotel. Unfortunately, it was cold and windy while we were there. Did that stop our boys? Not a chance!
And then we were on our way home. And just as luck would have it the sun came out as soon as we got on the ferry to head home. Rain or shine it’s always a great time when we’re together!
