Living in Seattle, we usually get 1 snow day a year.
One glorious day to make snow angels, snowman, have snow ball fights and pretend that we live in a place with seasons.
As I was going to bed on Saturday night I was surprised to see snow falling. I was a little sad that the boys were already asleep and were missing the snow. When they woke up Sunday morning I told them to look out the window. The look on their faces was priceless!
We had a quick breakfast and got outside as quick as we could to frolic in the snow. It was a beautiful morning of playing in the snow. My little snow monsters lasted much longer than any of the neighbor kids. We played for about 2 1/2 hours, until it was time to go in and get ready for church.
It was a magical morning. I enjoyed ever second of playing with my boys. I was a time I will never forget. I love getting to play with my kids, with no thoughts or worries of other things I think I should be doing.
Do I have something on my face?
When they needed a little break we set up our chairs and had a little hot chocolate.
The mug is as big as his face!
Those are the faces of 2 very happy boys, who had the time of their lives!
Maybe we will get lucky and get 2 snow days this year!
