I have been pregnant 3 times, each with a single baby. By the end of the pregnancy I feel like I have accomplished the greatest feat, growing another person. I cannot even wrap my mind around growing 3 babies at once. My mind would be completely blown if I went in for an ultrasound and found out that I had naturally conceived triplets! I’m feeling a little panicked just thinking about it.
I was so honored to be able to go visit Beckett, Brody and Cortney while they were still in the NICU. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is such a special place. Taking pictures in the dark, cramped rooms are is very difficult, but it is such a special time to capture. I was lucky enough to be there for the very first time that Mom, Lauren, was able to hold all 3 of them since they were born. These triplets were doing incredibly well. They had made it far enough long into their pregnancy that they just mostly needed to gain weight.
Congratulations Heerdegen family on you wonderful new additions.
Sweet Brody was so tiny!
A nurse found a large crib from another room so we could let all 3 babies snuggle together.
When we took Brody off the bed Beckett and Courtney had a little chat.
It takes a lot of hands to hold 3 babies. Thank goodness there are lots of willing help.
