When we decided to spend spring break in southern California I knew I wanted to get family pictures while we were there.
In 2013 I failed to get any family pictures of my own family. I have felt a lot of guilt about that and vowed to get family pictures twice a year from here on out. I went about searching for a photographer that I loved to take our pictures for us. I went onto a Facebook group for photographers that I am part of and found our prefect match, Shelly of Shelly Anderson Photography.
Things were a bit of a mess the day of our pictures and things didn’t quite go as planned. We had planned on warm weather for our San Diego family pictures, but it was cold and breeze. The weather was almost reminiscent of Seattle, go figure! We changed location last minute due to the colder weather. Our outfits changed a bit because we were planning on the boys wearing shorts. But even with all the last minute changes things turned out great. Shelly was so patient with the boys, and then were really good listeners. For the remainder of the trip every time the boys saw a spot they thought was picture worthy they would suggest we bring Shelly there to do pictures. Thanks Shelly for the wonderful pictures. We are already looking forward to seeing you again next year!

I understand, getting everything together for family pictures is a lot of work! You have to schedule, pick outfits, plan a location and it costs money. But really preserving your memories of your family in this moment is so very important!
